Pisces season is all about embracing the depths of our emotions, connecting with our intuition, and working with the element of water. This ritual brings all three of those things together for a sacred experience of sitting with your feelings.
Materials Needed:
Bath or Foot Soak Epsom Salt Candles Essential Oils (optional) Flowers (optional) Crystals (optional) Notebook (you’ll want to be able to rip out pages) Pen Playlist (explained below)
This ritual will take a little bit of preparation. The intention of this ritual is to spend time connecting with your emotions and intuition through the energy of music and water. To prepare, you’ll need to gather your materials and create a special playlist for yourself.
When curating your playlist, you will want to have: 3 songs that usually make you cry or at least evoke an emotional reaction, 1 short song without lyrics, 1-2 songs that make you feel divine, and 1 song that you find empowering. If you'd like to use my playlist, you can find it here:
Once you have your playlist ready, it’s time to prepare your bath. If a bath isn’t accessible to you, use a large container that you can soak your feet in. If that also isn’t available to you, frequently sip a glass of water throughout the ritual.
For the bath/soak, fill the tub with a temperature that feels good to you. Add a cup of Epsom salt with a few drops of essential oils (avoid ‘hot’ oils such as cinnamon and add the oils directly to the epsom salt, not the bath water). I recommend using oils such as lavender, rose, and eucalyptus. If you’d like to add any flowers or crystals that are safe around water (learn more about what crystals are not safe in water here: https://consciousitems.com/blogs/practice/water-crystals-what-crystals-can-go-in-water) Have a towel nearby to be able to dry your hands as you’ll be writing while you’re in the tub. Grab your pen and notebook (again, you’ll be writing as you sit in the tub, so do whatever you need to prepare for that). Once you have everything ready, light your candles, call in your angels and guides, press play on the music, and enter the bath. Phase One: In The Feels
For the first song, you’ll just be present. Let emotions come to the surface without trying to change or judge them.
During the second song, you’ll grab your pen and paper. As you listen to this song, you’ll let your emotions out on paper. Write without worrying about grammar, spelling, etc. What you are writing doesn’t need to make sense. At this part of the ritual, you are still being with your emotions without trying to change them, experiencing the depth available. For the third song, finish any thoughts that need to be put on paper, crumble the paper up, throw it to the side, and lie in the bath. Notice the way the water holds you and your emotions. Phase Two: Releasing The Feels
Once the third song finishes, set the intention that any energy that was released is transmuted into unconditional love as you drain the bath. Let the bath drain during the instrumental song on your playlist.
Phase Three: Receiving Insight
Start your shower when your divine songs begin to play. Stand under the water and let the water run over your crown chakra (the top of your head) and your third eye chakra (the middle of your eyebrows). Notice any insight, awareness, or intuitive messages that come through for you.
End your shower during the final song of your playlist. Do a little dance as you dry off. Phase Four: Transmute and Chill
Once you are dressed, find a way that you can safely destroy the paper that you poured your emotions out on. Whether that is burning it or ripping it apart into little pieces. Feel the final wave of letting go.
End your ritual by reflecting in your journal. Here are some prompts to support you in doing that:
