Shadow Searching
Your shadow holds the wounds, your ego turns those wounds into fears, and shadow work is how your soul takes power back over your life’s story. You are more than your pain.
Make it stand out.
We’ll all be called to do shadow work at some point in our lives. It’s the inner work that helps us answer the question, “What is my purpose?” It’s the path to loving ourselves on bad days. It’s the key to stopping seeking external validation for your worth.
What if instead of waiting till your forced to do this work, you take this as your sign to make the choice for yourself?
Rituals
It’s one thing to complete a couple of journal prompts and call it shadow work. It’s another thing to bring your mind, body, and soul into the practice. By structuring our weekly sessions as rituals, you’ll learn by experiencing, not just note-taking.
Meet the Shadow starts us off for our week one ritual. Past participants express that this ritual alone makes the program worth it. By the end of the ritual, you’ll have a clear understanding of what the shadow self is and isn’t, how to connect with it, and how to integrate your breakthroughs into your day-to-day life.
Week two continues with the Inner Child ritual. Our shadow holds onto those painful childhood experiences and becomes part of our subconscious. Once this ritual is done, you’ll know how to address the needs of your inner child and help them release the burdens they’ve been carrying.
The Villain Era is our week three ritual. Personal growth and healing have to include accountability. We have to take the time to deconstruct what we are projecting and causing harm vs. what is us being authentic and maintaining safety. You’ll have a way to be honest with yourself without judging yourself. You’ll have a guide toward forgiveness and clarity on what parts of your life could maybe use that “villain” energy once this ritual is complete.
We wrap things up with our Integration ritual. These breakthroughs don’t mean much if we don’t know how to accept, transmute, or release them. After this ritual, you’ll feel confident in using your body and creativity to integrate parts of your shadow.
Classes/Workshops
You’ll have access to all the self-paced materials in The Art of Shadow Work. Each week will include a mini class as part of the ritual, but the majority of our time is spent in practice.
These mini-classes/workshops can add depth or a new perspective to your shadow work practice.
Meet the Shadow introduces you to the concepts of shadow work itself. You’ll learn about the importance of balancing this work with other self-care methods, the difference between the ego and the shadow, etc.
By the end of this section, you'll have an understanding of what shadow work is, how to do it, and how to create your own rituals for your unique practice.
Dark Side of the Moon utilizes the lens of astrology to explore the aspects of the shadow self that are integral to our divine blueprint. You'll learn what parts of your birth chart can give you clues about your shadow and how to use the moon phases to guide your shadow work focus.
By the end of this section, you'll know how to look up your natal chart and use it to discover more about your shadow self and characteristics. You'll know which signs to look into and how to interpret the information.
Too Sexy To Be Ashamed deconstructs the things that we hold shame around. Oftentimes, this comes up through how we feel about being sensual and sexual beings. What is ready to be liberated?
By the end of this section, you will have a greater understanding of how you've repressed shame, unleash a willingness to connect with your sensual, creative self, and be supported in nurturing the body during shadow work.
It Runs in the Family focuses on the inner child and the ancestral healing part of shadow work. You'll go deep into the core of the memories and beliefs that have made you who you are today.
By the end of this chapter, you will know how to practice inner child healing, have clarity on what wounds may be ancestral, and feel confident in understanding your own internal responses.
The One Where You Finally Accept Yourself
Now, what to do with everything that you've uncovered within the shadow? We explore the processes of acceptance, transmutation (my personal favorite), and release.
By the end of this chapter, you will know different ways to respond to the shadow self. You will have developed a greater depth for acceptance, tolerance, and self-love.
