The Anti-Hero Workshop: Taylor Swift-Inspired Shadow Work


In this workshop, we use the music and lyrics of Taylor Swift to explore various themes of shadow work.


The shadow work themes that we discuss are:

  • Self-Loathing
  • Heartbreak
  • Inner Child/Teen
  • Villian Era
  • Exiled Parts
  • Transmutation


We use three examples from Taylor's work to bring understanding to each theme. For example, we dive into Anti-Hero to understand what shadow work is and how the lyrics relate to self-loathing.


This workshop can be approached in two ways:

  • Experiential- pause and practice the steps we go over in the workshop.
  • Informational- simply take in the lessons being offered and use them in your own practice at a later time.
